Along Route 66, there is an old abandoned town. Welcome to Glenrio Ghost Town, a place sitting right on the edge of Texas directly before you enter New Mexico. Founded in 1901, the last of its residents moved out by 1990. The population was never too high, only a couple of dozen; however, there was a constant flow of people keeping motels and cafes running. Unfortunately, as you can tell from these photos, that is no longer the case. Route 66 is old news, thanks to Interstate 40 located next door. The buildings are falling apart, covered in graffiti. Caving in on themselves with age and decay. We hope you learned something.
