No, this is not the same as the last place we posted. This place is known as Fort Pike. Built in 1812. Much like the other fort, it was to help seacoast defenses. The windows of these stone walls held sea-facing canons to fight off threats. It stayed running until 1890, when the fort was left to crumble. Inside, it looks much like Fort Macomb, but is far more maintained. This fort was set up to be a tourist attraction; later being shut down because of hurricanes. Gates got knocked down by the wind.
